      A FOLLOW-UP to the two JOB SEEKER events held in July in Flora will be tonight, Aug. 26, at the Flora Presbyterian Church. The evening will begin with a free supper at 6:30 p.m. in the church dining room with the help session starting at 7. Free babysitting will be provided for young children.

Y completes parking lot project
      The Carroll County Family YMCA recently completed its parking lot project with some assistance from the Town of Flora. With the Y providing all of the funding, the town donated its equipment and manpower to lay the blacktop.

      Winners of the American Legion's raffle are: 1/4 beef - Roger Woodkee of Royal Center and Ron Cree of Camden; 2 whole pork loins - Ruth Wilbunr of Monticello, Joe Thomas, Richard Fite and Greg Baxter, all of Camden, and Mike Seele and James Robbins, both of Delphi. Bob and Elaine McCain and family donated the beef, while Indiana Packers Corp. donated the pork loins.

The United Methodist Church will observe Undy Sunday, a benefit for the Kokomo Rescue Mission, on Aug. 30. Those attending are asked to bring socks and underwear to donate.

      Burlington Burlington Community Library has received some much needed improvements for its parking lot. Jail Officer Steve Pearson and several trustees came and resealed the lot as part of the Carroll County Sheriff Department's "Inmate Work Program.
