Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Pettit of Mulberry, formerly of Delphi, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last week.

Pettit and the former Maebelle Sheets were married Aug. 11, 1949.

He is retired from Ross Gear and she is a homemaker.

They have six children, Joe Pettit of Bringhurst, Ned Pettit (wife: Janice) of Bringhurst, Sue Demaray (husband: Kevin) of Brookston, Marsha Shroyer (husband: Joe) of Greenwood, David Pettit of Lafayette, and Darlene Pettit. One son, Ted, is deceased. The couple has seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. One granddaughter and one great-granddaughter are deceased.
