Plans are under way for the 20th annual Burlington Fall Festival Queen Contest. This year's theme is "A Moment to Remember." The contest will be held Sept. 16 at the Community Park Building in Burlington.

Contest rules have been changed for this year. Rules include: all contestants must be a Carroll student or reside within 12 miles of Burlington; be a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior; and cannot knowingly be pregnant or married.

The deadline to participate is Sept. 2; however a verbal commitment to participate would be appreciated by Aug. 26 by phoning Shelly Wiles at (765) 210-3840.

A mandatory meeting for all contestants will be held Sept. 2 at 7 p.m. downstairs in the Community Building. Contestants must turn in four copies of their resume and a single 5x7 framed photograph of themselves at this time. Those who cannot attend due to a sporting event must send a parent in their place with the required number of resumes and photograph. Non-representation at the Sept. 2 meeting will disqualify contestant.

Resumes must be only one page, typed, and include contestant's full name, parents/guardians names, age/date of birth, school activities, future plans, hobbies and activities, and employment. Four copies are to be submitted.
