K. Harber
Artie Katherine Cobbs Harber, 80, of Delphi, died Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at 3:56 p.m. at Clarian Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. She had been a patient there since Tuesday.
Born Feb. 6, 1929, in Louisville, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Meredith and Artie Flener Cobbs. Her marriage was on May 21, 1992, in Jonesville, Va., to Oscar "Bud" Harber, who preceded her in death July 25, 2003.
Mrs. Harber attended schools in Illinois and was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Pittsburg Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Harber enjoyed cooking and loved her family.
Surviving are two sons, Earl Hillary and Kenny Hillary, both of Delphi; two sisters, Myrl Huskey of Delphi and Mae Etta Carmichael of Rockfield; two brothers, Ralph Cobbs (wife: Dorsha) of Delphi and Harold Cobbs (wife: Genean) of Monticello; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was a son, Carl; a grandson; one brother and one sister.
Graveside services were held Saturday at the Indiana Veterans Home Cemetery in West Lafayette. The Rev. John Wagner officiated.
Arrangements were handled by Abbott Funeral Home in Delphi.
