The outreach group at Faith Lutheran's project for August is collecting school supplies. Specific items needed include boxes of #2 yellow pencils, glue sticks, pink erasers (not caps), Elmer's white glue, crayon boxes 24 or less (not big boxes), large box Kleenex. Bring items to church on any Sunday in August. The point person for the project is Margy Albaugh.

Women of Faith WELCA will meet Aug. 11 at the church for fellowship and Bible study. Any member of the church is welcome to attend. The meeting starts at 1:30 p.m.

On Sunday, Pastor Matt Knopf of Faith Lutheran Church invites students and teachers to bring their backpacks to the worship service. There will be a special blessing for all those returning to school.

Deacons at Deer Creek Presbyterian Church are collecting hair care projects for the Food Pantry during August, Bring items to the church by Aug. 16.

Janet Hertenstien and daughter, Teresa Cooksey, attended a bridal shower recently in Indianapolis for Janet's granddaughter, Jill Hertenstein.
