Dorothy M. Wilson

Dorothy M. Wilson, 84, of Monon, passed away early Monday morning, July 20, 2009, in Lafayette.

Born Dec. 30, 1924, in Battle Ground, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marie Pattengale Sterrett. Her marriage was to Woodrow T. Wilson, who preceded her in death in August 1982.

Mrs. Wilson lived in Carroll and White counties for most of her life and was a graduate of Delphi High School.

She was the owner and operator of the Monon Dry Cleaners from 1964-1973. She then worked as a clerk at Querry Pharmacy in Monon for over 20 years.

Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Monon United Methodist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Monon Chamber of Commerce.

Surviving are two daughters, Marlene G. Bilek of Rensselaer and Lou Ann Wilson of West Lafayette; two sisters, Nina Sanderson of Indianapolis and Thelma Hodges of Delphi; two grandsons, Todd Robert Bilek (wife: Rhonda) of Monticello and Troy Douglas Bilek (wife: Terra) and two great-grandchildren, Brittney and Brandon Bilek, all of South Carolina.

Preceding her in death were a son, Robert Earl Molher, and a brother, Donald Sterrett.

Visitation will be Thursday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Monon United Methodist Church.

Services will be at the church July 23 at 1 p.m. (Monon time). Pastor Russ Alley will officiate. Burial will follow at Pretty Prairie Cemetery near Battle Ground.

Arrangements are being handled by Steinke Funeral Home in Rensselaer.
