Alyce E. Treece
Alyce E. Treece, 89, of Delphi, died Monday, July 13, 2009, at 9:23 a.m. at Clarian Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.
Born May 15, 1920, in Neosho, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Clifford Reynolds and Eunice Crowder Collins. She attended schools in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Her marriage was on April 24, 1971, in Monticello to William Troy Treece, who preceded her in death Aug. 7, 1999.
Mrs. Treece was retired as a waitress. She had worked at Angler's Restaurant in Monticello and Holiday Inn in Lafayette.
She was a member of the Delphi United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Delphi VFW and American Legion auxiliaries.
She enjoyed flower gardening, fishing, mushroom hunting, traveling, sewing, reading, spending time with family, and doing crafts.
Mrs. Treece also enjoyed watching Country Western Entertainer Dolly Parton.
Surviving are three daughters, Karen J. Carter, Mary V. Orr, both of Delphi, and Eunice Marie Kilzer (husband: Joseph) of North Dakota; three stepdaughters, Peggy Turner (husband: Thomas), Linda Chase (husband: Randy), both of Lafayette and Debbie Duncan (husband: Donald) of Blountstown, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren; and two greatgreat grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were two brothers, John and Glen Collins.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Davidson Funeral Home in Delphi with a VFW and American Legion auxiliaries conducting a memorial service at 6 p.m.
Service will be at the funeral home Friday at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Mausoleum in West Lafayette.
Memorials may be made to donor's charity of choice.
