All hazard sirens to be tested

According to Carroll County Emergency Management Director Dave Mc- Dowell, the new all-hazard sirens along the Tippecanoe River will be tested during the July 4 weekend.

All sirens in Carroll County are regularly tested the first Saturday of each month at 10 a.m. If the test is delayed for any reason the intent is to roll it into the testing routine next month.

A mailer will be sent to approximately 2500 residents who are within earshot of these sirens. The Eel River Tribe is sending out the notices containing refrigerator magnets describing testing and use of the sirens, safety procedures and help numbers.

"I intend to use this mailing opportunity to poll river residents on a number of flood-related issues." Mc- Dowell said.
