Franklin College has announced its dean's list for the spring semester. Students named to the dean's list have achieved academic distinction by earning a 3.5 grade point average or above. Students from this area included are:

KRYSTAL BRAZEL, a freshman, is the daughter of Sean and Joetta McGowan of Kokomo and Michael and Stacey Brazel of Bringhurst.

RYAN C. HENDRYX, a freshman, is the son of Maurice and Sandra Hendryx of Rossville.

RANDALL COLE ZOOK, a senior, is the son of Chris and Cathy Zook of Flora.

NOLAN YEAKLEY of Camden, a finance major, has been named to Butler University's dean's list for the spring semester. Students on the list are in the top 20 percent of the college in which they are enrolled, as determined by the semester grade point average of all eligible students in each college at Butler.

JASON K. CREE of Camden was named to the spring semester dean's list at Vincennes University.

Eight members of the Rossville FFA Chapter were awarded the prestigious FFA Hoosier Degrees during the Indiana FFA Convention held recently at Purdue University.

Hoosier Degrees are awarded to students who demonstrate extra-curricular achievements and success in their experiment programs.

Recipients include: RACHEL CRUM, WES DELKS, DANIEL GASCHO, JARED HUFFER, MATTHEW J. JONES, DEREK LEAHY, SHAINA SHIRAR, and ADRIAN SKILES.

Purdue University awarded 5,792 degrees to students during commencement ceremonies in May. Of the degrees presented, 4,423 were undergraduate degrees, 795 were master's degrees, 351 were doctoral degrees and 223 were professional candidates. The commencement ceremonies were conducted in Elliott Hall of Music on the West Lafayette campus.
