Jordan Bowman Jordan Bowman Forty-three year old Aimee Jones of Lafayette said Saturday's race was a miracle for her.

Jones decided at age 40 that she needed to get healthy and started working out and running again. She ran in the 500 Mini Marathon last year and said she was in the best shape of her life. But a doctor's appointment this February revealed she had non-Hodgkins Malt Lymphoma, a rare cancer. She completed the 500 Mini Marathon on May 2 and started radiation treatments two days later. She completed those treatments last Tuesday.

"Finishing Saturday's race was a sign from God," she said. "I've got a lot more running to do."
