Delphi resident Brian Simmons placed second to win a Silver Medal in Boche Ball in the Special Olympics State Games held at Indiana State University in Terre Haute June 5-7. Simmons, who is the son of Duane and Nancy Simmons of Delphi, said it was the first time he competed in the sport, which is similar to lawn bowling. He previously competed in track and soft ball.
