Tony and Teresa Fife of Flora announce the engagement of their daughter, Whitney, to Eric Truax. He is the son of Larry and Sue Truax of Needmore, Pa.

The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School. She graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University in April 2009 with a math education degree.

Her fiancé is a 2004 graduate of Southern Fulton Jr.- Sr. High School in Warfordsburg, Pa. He graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics. He is employed at Auto-Owners Insurance Company in Lansing, Mich.

They are planning an Aug. 1 wedding.
