Clarence V. and Esther M. May of 324 Lawn Avenue, West Lafayette, will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary with a family dinner on June 28 at the Sportsman Inn in Monticello.

May and the former Esther M. Deckard were married June 17, 1939, in Brookston. He owned the May Co. in West Lafayette and is now retired. She is a homemaker.

The couple has three daughters, Sherry Hantschel (husband: Dieter) of rural Delphi, Janet Johnson (husband: Jim) of Aurora, Colo., and Margene Sims-Shugarts (husband: Bill) of Fairfax Station, Va., six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
