Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Wolven of Burnettsville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by renewing their marriage vows June 6 at the Lockport Church in Burnettsville. Pastor Nord Zootman officiated. A reception, hosted by their sons and their wives, followed in the church dinning room.

Wolven and the former Susan Peterson were married June 7, 1959, at the Burnettsville Baptist Church.

He is a retired Yard Master with Conrail Railroad, Chicago Division. She is a retired elementary art teacher who taught in the Hobart and Griffith schools.

They have two sons, Fredrick (wife: Charlotte) Wolven of Portage and Charles (wife: Irene) of Glenwood, and one stepson in Illinois.
