Mr. and Mrs. Harris (Bud) Friend, 266 East Street, Rossville, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at an open house June 14. Hosted by their children, the event will be from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Bennett Room in Rossville.

Friend and the former Corinne Williams were married June 19, 1959, in Bringhurst.

He is a retired carpenter, and she is a personal assistant.

They have two children, David Friend (wife: Jackie) of Rossville and Sandy Mcateer (husband: Mac) of Valparaiso. The couple has four grandchildren.
