Mr. and Mrs. Robert Johnson of Flora will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary June 14 at a dinner with their family.

Johnson and the former Sandra Cassell were married June 14, 1959, at the Flora Church of the Brethren by Rev. Charles Dumond.

He is retired from farming. She owned and operated Sandy's Castle, a children's store in Flora, and also owned and operated The Dime Store in Flora, in partnership with Jim Payne.

The couple has two children, Brad Johnson (wife: Diane) of Flora and Sheila Oland (husband: Dennis) of Lafayette. They have five grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren.
