CARROLL COUNTY REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION will hold a public hearing on a proposal to establish Tax Incremental Financing on certain real estate in Carroll County at 1 p.m. Friday in the Commissioners Room in the county courthouse in Delphi.
CARROLL COUNTY GARDEN CLUB will meet at the home of Richard and Wilma Fisher at 668 E. 871 N., Burrows, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday. In Burrows, turn north off SR 25 onto 2nd St., go 1 1/2 blocks to gray house on the left (house is next to the fire station). Plans for the club trip will be discussed.
CARROLL COUNTY REPUBLICAN WOMEN will meet June 15 at 7 p.m. at the Flora Senior Center. Hostesses will be Jo Swaim, Barb McGill, and Colleen Smith. All Republican women are invited to attend.
Living Faith Church of the Brethren will be showing the movie, THE UGLIEST DACHSHUND, on June 18 at 9 a.m. This month's free movie is a "Grandparent's Day" type of event and attendees are encouraged to bring their grandchildren. There will be a few activities for the children, along with prizes. Free popcorn and drinks will be available. Everyone is invited.
A "CONCERT TO GO" will be presented by the Tippecanoe Chamber Music Society on Monday, June 15, at 2 p.m. in the Flora Public Library's program room. The performance is part of the library's summer reading program, "Be Creative at Your Library." This will be the first time for the Society's outreach ensemble to perform at a public library. The concert will be given by a brass quintet.
ARCHICAMP, a living history camp for children 8- 12, is being offered in Delphi from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 23 and 24. The camp is based at the Canal Interpretive Center. Children will experience being a 19th century builder and work as a team to build a model timber frame barn. They will ride in a horsedrawn wagon and on a replica canal boat, and learn about local history. The award-winning camp is sponsored by Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana, Wabash & Erie Canal Interpretive Center, and Delphi Preservation Society. Reservations are required by June 19. SUMMER OPEN COURT TENNIS, sponsored by the Delphi Community High School, will begin June 10 and 11 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the high school courts for any incoming freshman. Lessons will be every Wednesday and Thursday from June through July with no lessons July 1 and 2. Wear tennis shoes and bring a racquet. Delphi Presbyterian Church will host its SENIOR CITIZENS' MONTHLY LUNCHEON June 17 at noon in the church Fellowship Hall. An elevator is available for those in need. Call Susan at (765) 564- 2371 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. to request a ride or information.
An ART EXHIBITION, sponsored by Tri Kappa as a tribute to Jack Sanders, will be June 27 from 1 to 4 p.m. and June 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Carroll County Courthouse rotunda in Delphi. A BLOCK PARTY, sponsored by the Delphi United Methodist Church, will be June 28 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Regions Bank parking lot. Music, games, prizes, a bounce house, obstacle course, fire trucks, pony rides and food will be offered. The event is free and open to the public.
