      Deer Creek Presbyterian Church will have its Swine 'n Dine on Sunday in the fellowship hall from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. A free-will offering will go to support the ministries of Deer Creek Presbyterian Church. All are welcome. Sundaes on Thursday is a fellowship and worship study held every Thursday night through August at 7:15 at the Presbyterian Church.

      Delphi CWF The CWF of the Delphi Christian Church met June 1 in the church with Carolyn Edging as hostess. Eleven members answered roll call by bringing a wedding picture to share. A sandwich and pie lunch will be served June 28 to honor the fathers in the church.

Energy specialist to serve Carroll County
      The Western Indiana Sustainable Energy Region (WISER) committee announces the appointment of Gary Freymiller as the Director of Regional Energy Initiatives. Freymiller, a Purdue Cooperative Extension Associate Educator, will focus much of his work in the four counties (Carroll, Clinton, Tippecanoe, and White) that formed WISER.

Delphi summer rec program posts schedule
      The Delphi Summer Recreation Program began offering activities June 5, however coordinator Sherri Cripe said it is not too late for youth who want to participate to register and begin participating as soon as the paperwork is finished. Registration forms are available, and can be turned in at the Delphi City Building on S. Union St.

      Sewing/clothing workshops There will be a "Prejudging Open House" on June 18 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the 4-H building. This prejudging workshop will be like an "open house," where participants can come at anytime to bring their garment and pattern (for fashion revue description) or consumer clothing outfit and notebook.

Locals to perform in musical
      "The Wedding Singer," the musical comedy, will be presented by TippeCanoe Players Dinner Theatre June 18-21 at Graff Auditorium, Harrison High School, 5701N 50W, West Lafayette. Dinner is at 6:30 p.m. and the show at 7:30. There also will be a matinee on June 21, with lunch at 12:30 p.m. and the show at 1:30.

Camden man writes children's book
      a Matt Phillips of Camden has written and illustrated a newly released children's book, "Ingo Flamingo." The story begins as Mr. Quad finds a sick flamingo. He takes it home and nurses it back to health. In doing so Mr. Quad observes color changes in the then-named Ingo Flamingo.
