Mr. and Mrs. John Dyer of Bringhurst will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at a cookout at the home of Don and Lois Brown in Monticello on June 13. The event will be hosted by her sisters from 2 to 5 p.m.

Dyer and the former Patsy Rader were married June 9, 1959, at the Lower Deer Creek Church of the Brethren, Camden. The Rev. Dolar Ritchey officiated.

They have resided mostly in Carroll County since their marriage.

They both retired from Yeager's and Hog Slat.

The Dyers have enjoyed traveling, working in the yard and garden, and they enjoy their family.

The couple requests that gifts be omitted, but cards would be appreciated.
