Myrtle McKeever

Myrtle Lillie Overmyer Packard McKeever, 89, Kokomo, formerly of Logansport and Camden, died Tuesday, May 26, 2009, in Windsor Estates, Kokomo.

Born April 10, 1920, in Cass County, she was the daughter of John W. and Elizabeth J. Miller Overmyer. She was married to Donald Bryant Packard, who died in 1972. She was married to Donald H. McKeever, who died in 1985.

In 1977, Myrtle retired from General Tire where she had worked for many years as a quality control inspector.

She was a member of the Flora United Methodist Church.

Surviving are three sons, Rodney B. Packard (wife: Thelma) of Kokomo, Tom G. Packard, of Deer Creek, and Darol D. Packard (wife: Denise) of Camden; two daughters, Patricia Cook (husband: Robert) of Tipton and Juanita R. Wallace of Delaware, Ohio; two stepdaughters, Judy McKeever Polley (husband: Larry) of Lafayette and Karen McKeever Fiedler (husband: Chuck) of Crawfordsville; two brothers, John A. Overmyer, of Logansport and Benjamin Overmyer, of Texas; one sister, Normagene N. Overmyer Mitchum, of Florida; 12 grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 24 stepgreat grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and nine step great-greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday in Logansport. Burial followed in Camden Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and the Southern Care Hospice.
