Comet staff report

Camden's annual Youth Day Parade will be Saturday, starting at 10 a.m. sharp. The grand marshal will be Jennifer Wallace, a youth league participant and former ball player.

Boosters of the year to be recognized are Brim Concrete, Q-Graphics, and Fite's Mobility.

Congressman Joe Donnelly will present an American flag to the Jackson Township Park Board. The flag will be flown in memory of Brian Ballard, who died Dec. 24. Ballard played baseball at the park, as do his children, and was a league coach.

The National Anthem will be sung by Leah Abbott and Marilyn Wilburn will give the invocation.

The remainder of the day will include ballgames, raffles and a bake sale, all at the park.

The Youth Day Parade committee is Barbarie Rude, Susan Kleckner and Nichole Pearson.
