Veterans' Home questions solicited

By Debbie Lowe Staff writer

Indiana Veteran's Home representative Jared Bond will be at the Carroll County Courthouse May 28 from 9 to 11 a.m. in the lounge. Bond will meet with area veterans to answer questions about the services offered at the West Lafayette facility.

"I want to let veterans know about what the Indiana Veterans Home can offer to them," Bond said. "I am there to invite the public in to ask questions about the Home and to meet me."

"I met Carroll County Veteran's Administrator Larry Leach at a meeting in Indianapolis recently," Bond continued. "We decided it would be of benefit for me to visit, get to know the veterans in the county, and let them meet me."

Bond said applications will be available Thursday for any veteran interested in living on "the hill." He said family members could also visit to ask questions about residential living.

Bond said the Home is at roughly 75 percent capacity with 270 residents. He can be reached at (765) 497-8635 or by E-mail at jabond@ivh.in.gov.
