J. Clifford Graham

 
J. Clifford Graham, Jr., 77, of Delphi, died at 8:04 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at the Mulberry Health and Retirement Community in Mulberry. He had been a resident there for the past two years.

Born Oct. 31, 1931, in Chicora, Pa., he was the son of Joseph C. and Mary Gertrude Benson Graham. His first marriage was in 1951 in Rockville to Joan Fox, who preceded him in death in 1974. He married Wilma L. King on Sept. 2, 1981, in Lafayette, and she preceded him in death Oct. 19, 2006.

Mr. Graham was a graduate of Butler High School and received electrical and mechanical degrees from Purdue University.

He served in the Army Air Force during the Korean War.

Mr. Graham owned and operated Gramco Orchard in Pyrmont. He was also a Journeyman Pipe Fitter for Local #157 out of Terre Haute.

He was a former member of the Delphi American Legion.

Mr. Graham enjoyed woodworking, fishing, gardening, working in his orchard, reading, cooking and floral photography.

Surviving are two daughters, Karen Graham of Indianapolis and Rhonda Gardiner (husband: Rick) of Delphi; two sons, Joseph Graham (wife: Chris) of San Antonio, Texas, and Michael Graham of Delphi; three stepdaughters, Deborah Ratliff (husband: Smokey) of Rossville, Tracy Claiborne (husband: Tony) and JoAnn Draper (husband: Kevin), both of Delphi; a stepson, Steven Robinson (wife: Mary) of Delphi; a brother, Gene Graham of New Waverly, Texas, and nine sisters, Joan McClanahan, Mary John, Dottie Henry, Thelma Henry, Linda O'Donnell, Joyce Fetterman, all of Chicora, Pa., Rita Schmoll of Karnes, Pa., Eileen Stitt of Petrolia, Pa. and Lucy Roberts of Saxsonburg, Pa.; 21 grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren and one great great-granddaughter.

Also preceding him in death was a brother, John, and grandson, Lance Graham.

Services were held Friday at Davidson Funeral Home in Delphi. Father Peter Vanderkolk officiated. Burial followed at St. Joseph Cemetery in Delphi, with graveside military rites by the Delphi American Legion and VFW.
