The Class of 2009 at Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School has five valedictorians and one salutatorian. Vandals cost county additional dollars

Carroll County Highway Department workers spent time Friday dumping loads of crushed stone on the Crooked Road to Flora/Delphi to prevent drivers, unaware the road is washed out and closed, from driving off the edge of the asphalt. 10 YEARS AGO Zachary White a Carroll Elementary student raised $1,019 for the American Heart Association Jump Rope for Heart program. He received a mountain bike and numerous other prizes for his efforts. Students at Carroll Elementary sought donations, then participated in the "Jump Rope for Heart" in their physical education classes. They raised $9,911. More...
Delphi Community High School's U.S. history and psychology teacher Joseph "Joe" Seurynck will retire after 41 years of teaching at the end of the 2009 school year. Charles Markley, 86, of Flora, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2009, at 10:10 a.m. at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis.
