Benjamin Gordon Stewart Jr., 49, of Massena, N.Y., died May 14, 2009, at his home.

He was born Oct. 11, 1959, in Lafayette, to the late Benjamin Gordon Stewart Sr. and Beulah Bernice Rock. He attended Delphi schools in the 1970s.

Mr. Stewart worked at Peters Remington, Globe Valve, and Underhill Industries, all of Delphi, Yeager & Sullivan of Camden, and many places in New York. He resided in Massena for over 20 years.

He served in the Indiana Army National Guard and received an honorable discharge.

Surviving are his mother of Monticello; two sons, Benjamin Gordon Stewart Jr II, and Travis Benjamin Stewart, both of Massena; three sisters, Marilyn Kay Perkins of Lafayette, Nancy Ann Brown (husband David) of Buffalo, and Melissa Venters; his first wife, Vada Marvin of Massena; 14 nieces and nephews, all of Indiana; seven great nieces and nephews; and several aunts and uncles in Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Gordon Stewart Sr., who died on Oct 11, 2008; his paternal grandparents, Howard Rock and Pearl May Young; and a niece, Crystal Lynn Perkins.

He joined his father on his father's birthday. We will always love and miss you.

Services were held Monday in Massena.
