Leah Wagoner Harrison D. Wagoner Sophia M. Wagoner

Leah Wagoner, 40, and her two children, Harrison Dean Wagoner, 8, and Sophia Marie Wagoner, 4, all died Friday night, May 15, 2009, from injuries sustained in a fire at their home north of Flora.

Leah, born April 17, 1969, in Indianapolis, was the adopted daughter of Kenneth and Erma Grover Flora. She graduated from Carroll High School in 1987 and attended Anderson University. She earned a bachelor's degree in education from Indiana University Kokomo and taught school.

On July 16, 1994, in Flora, she married Dr. Brian Wagoner, who survives.

A homemaker, Leah home schooled her children. She was actively involved at Faith Baptist Church in Lafayette.

Leah was an avid runner who enjoyed traveling and spending time with her friends.

Surviving with her husband are her parents of Flora and a brother, John Flora (wife: Katherine) of Modesto, Calif.

Harrison Dean Wagoner was born May 27, 2001, in Lafayette, the son of Dr. Brian and Leah Flora Wagoner. He enjoyed being in Cub Scouts, playing basketball and soccer, and reading.

Sophia Marie Wagoner was born Aug. 5, 2004, in Lafayette, the daughter of Dr. Brian and Leah Flora Wagoner. She enjoyed following her brother around.

Leah, Harrison and Sophia all loved the Lord.

Also surviving are the children's grandparents and Leah's father and mother-in-law, Dr. Gordon and Shirley Wagoner of Flora; the children's cousins and Leah's niece and nephew; and the children's paternal aunt and Leah's sister-in-law, Teresa Kiger (husband: Kenton) of Brookston,

Also surviving the children are their maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Erma Grover Flora, and uncle and aunt, John and Katherine Flora.

Services were held Tuesday morning at Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Viars officiating. Burial followed at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Flora.

Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church, Flora United Methodist Church or Flora Volunteer Fire Department.
