Sheriff's dept. purchases AEDs
The Carroll County Sheriff's Office recently received grant money from The Andersons Foundation and Carroll County REMC Operation Roundup to purchase eight Automatic Electronic Defibrilators (AEDs). Each officer will be equipped with an AED. Sheriff Tony Burns said that his office has been working on the project since last summer. "After the 2008 county budget cuts, we explored what this office could do to assist the community and Carroll County Emergency Ambulance Service," said the sheriff. "It is wonderful to have these two community organizations reach out to assist us in obtaining this valuable equipment which could potentially help us to save lives."
