L.C. Hester, 82 of Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of Flora, died April 24, 2009, at John Lincoln Hospital in Phoenix. Born March 9, 1927, in Vernon, Ala., he was the son of Conway and Bertha Harrison Hester. Mr. Hester worked as a truck driver for Alcoa Aluminum of America in Lafayette. He moved to Phoenix following his retirement. Surviving are his wife, the former Frances Thompson; two sons, Rick Hester and Ron Hester (wife: Kay); and four grandsons.
