Nominations requested for Delphi Lion's 'Teacher of the Year'
Delphi Lions Club is asking parents, faculty and administrators as well as past or present students for nominations for the "Teacher of the Year" award. Nominations may be made from now until May 8.
The award was initiated to
recognize one of the many outstanding teachers of the Delphi Community School Corporation.
Any teacher who has made
an impact on someone's life, made a difference in the life of child or has an admirable teaching style is eligible.
The winning teacher must be board-certified and currently teaching in grades kindergarten through twelve. Winners will receive a cash award, a plaque and their name on the "Teacher of the Year" plaque housed in the Lion's Club den.
A selection committee comprised of professionals from the community will choose a winner. The teacher will be invited to receive their award at the Lion's Club Awards Night in May.
Forms may be obtained at any of the Delphi schools and must be returned by May 8 to Delphi Lion's Club, 1006 Prince William Road, Delphi IN 46923 or by e-mail to gilsmith396@ msn.com.
