Delphi boys defeat Lewis Cass

Delphi Track & Field teams hosted Lewis Cass last Wednesday.

The boys won 79-53 and girls lost 80.5-51.5.

Senior Matt Wilcox once again led the boys. Wilcox won all four of his events, with personal bests in the long jump and 200 meter dash. Other individual event winners for the Oracles were: Jordan Wagner in the high jump, Nathan Dubes in the pole vault, Kris Bender in the 1600 and 3200 meter runs, Wilcox in the 400 meter dash, Ryan Everett in the 300 hurdles, and J.D. Huffer in the 800 meter run. The 3200 meter relay team of Andrew Flora, Alex Price, Kevin Kauffman, and Zach Schnepp and the 1600 meter relay team of Wagner, Beniot Goffard, Huffer, and Wilcox were also victorious.

Leading the ladies was freshman Carrington Wallace with wins in the 100 and 300 hurdles. Other winners were Olivia George in the high jump, Chelsey Marcotte in the pole vault, and Grace Currie in the 800 meter run.

This week Delphi will travel to Clinton Central on Wednesday and Twin Lakes on Friday for the Twin Lakes Invitational.
