Dean and Terri Sink of Flora announce the engagement of their daughter, Sara R., to Kirk D. Underhill of rural Lafayette. He is the son of John and Carol Underhill of rural Lafayette.

The bride-elect is a 1999 graduate of Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School and a graduate of Ivy Tech with a degree in business management. She is employed in administration staff at Subaru of Indiana, Inc., Lafayette.

Her fiancé is a 1998 graduate of Harrison High School and a graduate of Ivy Tech with a degree in industrial maintenance technology. He is a lineman for Duke Energy and farms with his family.

An Aug. 1 wedding is being planned.
