No one has offered substantial evidence that the earth is warming or that its temperature is abnormal. There are many who still use the term "global warming" even in the face of whole continents reporting record cooling. Has anyone considered that the ice caps might cycle through regular melt downs due to ocean currents and localized temperature changes rather than general atmospheric warming?
Scientists all over the world, all equally credentialed and educated, come down on both sides of this issue. The fact is that no one can know what, if any impact, human beings really have on the global weather. Many scientists say that the world has cooled more in the last year than it has warmed in the previous 100 years. So who is right? Does it really matter?
A friend observed that human beings are such a miniscule part of the life on this earth that no matter what we do, the ultimate winner will be the earth. We don't have the power to destroy it—we can only make temporary ripples in its surface skin. Man can only move things around that are already here. God made the earth to withstand the dabblings of man. The biggest threat, outside of nuclear war, is the clearing of the world's rain forests. Do you hear anyone trying to stop that? Trees love carbon dioxide, and they give us oxygen in trade! God's nature is the perfect recycler.
