Lon Kinzie
Lon Kinzie, 59, died April 9, 2009, in Dallas, Ore.
Born July 30, 1949, in Logansport,
he was the son
of John and Helen Denlinger Kinzie.
Mr. Kinzie was a 1967 graduate of Carroll High School in Flora.
He moved to Modesto, Calif., in 1971 until settling in Dallas in 1977.
Mr. Kinzie has owned and operated Kinzie Machine Shop in Dallas since 1979.
He was a member of the Salt Creek Baptist Church.
He enjoyed cooking, collecting antique clocks and playing with his grandchildren. He was known by his friends in his youth as "Face."
Surviving are two sons, Luke Kinzie (wife: Kung) and Guy Kinzie (wife: Ann); a daughter, Sydney; three grandchildren, Evan, Devyn and Grace, all of Dallas; a brother, Gale Kinzie (wife: Diane) of Bringhurst; two nieces, Deena Benefiel and Delee Kingery and two nephews, John Kinzie and Jamey Kinzie, all of the Flora and Bringhurst area.
Services were held April 14 in Dallas. A private burial followed at Salt Creek Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Salt Creek Baptist Church Youth in care of the Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center.
