James D. Royer
James Daniel Royer, 93, Camden, passed away at 2:38 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2009, at his son's residence. He had been in declining health and living with his son the past nine and a half years.
Born Feb. 2, 1916, in Stark County, Ohio, he was the son Daniel and Nora Fisher Royer. His marriage was on Oct. 12, 1940, in Wakarusa to Mary Frances Cripe, who preceded him in death on Jan. 31, 1993.
Mr. Royer was a retired farmer and a member of the Old Brethren German Baptist Church.
Surviving are five sons, Steven Royer (wife: Edith), Lael Royer (wife: Betty), both of Camden, Stanley Royer (wife: Lydia) of Eaton, Ohio, Philip Royer (wife: Connie), and Abner Royer (wife: Margaret), all of Trenton, Mo.; five daughters, Ruth Brumbaugh (husband: Delbert) of Geneva, Sylvia Royer of Delphi, Eileen Brumbaugh (husband: James) of Rochester, Wilma Brubaker (husband: Paul) of West Alexandria, Ohio, and Eva Banks (husband: Larry) of Camden; a brother, Owen Royer of New Paris; 53 grandchildren; and 46 great-grandchildren.
Services were April 21 near Camden.
