Carroll senior ASHLEY BORDNER has been awarded a $500 scholarship from the Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association (ICGSA). In conjunction with the Nike - Let Me Play Foundation, ten $500 scholarships were awarded to ten seniors, one from each of theW ten IHSAA girls' sports. The recipients were chosen based on the following criteria: well-rounded, positive role models who have demonstrated excellence in academics, school and community involvement, character, sportsmanship, and citizenship. Bordner was nominated by her track coach Mike Miller and principal Charles Huckstep. She will attend Anderson University next fall and participate in both cross country and track. This is the first year that the ICGSA has awarded the scholarships.
