Schwietermans HOME HELPERS, an inhome care agency, has expanded into Carroll County from its base in Tippecanoe County.
"We are a husband and wife team - owners of Home Helpers in this area," explained Ken and Gale Schwieterman. "Our experiences with our parents over the years prompted us to open Home Helpers."
The service offers personal and non-medical care for the following: seniors seeking companionship or assistance; new moms; working parents with sick children; those with physical or mental limitations; persons needing recuperative care; individuals requiring continuing care; and others.
Some of the specific services are running errands, planting flowers, assist with dressing and feeding, care for pets, doing laundry, taking out the garbage, etc.
Screened caregivers come to homes, hospitals, retirement communities, nursing homes, and rehabilitation centers. They provide care for a few hours or the whole day - for one day a week or every day.
The Schwietermans also offer Direct Link - in-home emergency monitoring.
Home Helpers is a nationwide network, with each office independently owned and operated. The location in this area is 128 McCutcheon Dr., Lafayette. For more information, call (765) 477- 7000 or email, 58341@homehelpers.cc.
