Clarification
      Delphi Community School Corporation patron Everett Snoberger asked if the Camden Early Education Center (CEEC) is a separate entity and to whom the staff report at the April 13 board of trustees meeting. He was told the CEEC staff does not report to the elementary school principal. Reporting is done directly to the superintendent's office.

ISTEP+ testing resumes April 27
      Beginning next week (April 27 to May 6), students across Indiana will take the second portion of state ISTEP+ exams that measure academic progress over the past school year. The spring 2009 ISTEP+ is administered during two testing windows in an effort to return student results faster. The first part, which included essay and short answer questions, was given in March.

      Carroll senior ASHLEY BORDNER has been awarded a $500 scholarship from the Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association (ICGSA). In conjunction with the Nike - Let Me Play Foundation, ten $500 scholarships were awarded to ten seniors, one from each of theW ten IHSAA girls' sports.

Ivy Tech to offer manufacturing courses for high school students
      High school juniors and seniors can earn up to six college credits and earn a national manufacturing certification free of charge during Ivy Tech Community College's Summer Technical Middle College. Students can attend two advanced manufacturing courses during a six week period from June 15 through July 24. Classes are held each weekday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
