Mr. and Mrs. Dean Wood of

875W. 1050N., Delphi, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house hosted by their children on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the fire station in Burrows.

Wood and the former Mickey Murphy, both retired from Logansport Memorial Hospital, were married April 18, 1959, at the St. John Catholic Church in Vincennes.

They have six sons, Dean Wood, Jr. (wife: Cathy) of Greenwood, Andy Wood (fiancée: Barb) of Worthington, Michael Wood (wife: Jennifer) of Northport, Fla., Brian Wood (wife: Kelley) of Warren, Pa., Daniel Wood (wife: Jennifer) of Lafayette, and David Wood (wife: Brooke) of Flora. They also have 13 grandchildren.
