Delphi Police Dept.

April 6, 7:27 a.m. - Theft, 123 E. Franklin St. Money was stolen from a vandalized vending machine in front of Wallmann's Grocery Store. Officer Shane Bernhardt investigated.

April 6, 7:47 a.m. - Criminal mischief, Delphi Community Elementary School. Bleachers at the softball field were tipped over, trash was deposited on the playground and a bicycle rack was moved. Bernhardt investigated.

April 7, 2:25 p.m. - Theft, 219 S. Union St. Money and soda were stolen from a vandalized outdoor vending machine at J.W. Rentals by six juveniles. Bernhardt investigated.

April 8 - Criminal information, Dollar General parking lot. Three young children were left in a locked car with the engine running by the mother, Patricia Wilkerson, 33, Delphi. After speaking with the mother, the children were determined to be safe and released to her. Chief Justin Darling investigated.

April 10, 2:25 p.m. - Property damage, 310 W. Main St. Kristie I. Prater, 20, Kendallville, and Joshua A. Ramer, 24, Goshen. Bernhardt responded.

April 11, 7:22 a.m. - Burglary, 118 W. Main St. Guadalupana, a new business owned by Javier Hernandez-Riveros, Delphi, was vandalized and international telephone cards were stolen. Bernhardt investigated.

April 11, 7:35 a.m. - Theft, 315 E. Howard St. Wallet and checkbook owned by Tommy Laxson, Delphi, was stolen from his vehicle. Bernhardt investigated.

April 11, 6:39 p.m. - OWI, SR25 at CR132N. Jose L. Diaz- Reyes, 52, Delphi, was arrested. Officer Chuck Kent investigated.

Sheriff's Department Criminal/non-criminal

April 1, 2:30 a.m. - Underage consumption of alcohol, 6411E. 200S., Burlington. A minor reportedly consumed alcohol at the residence. K-9 Deputy Tony Liggett investigated.

April 4, 8:47 p.m. - Cruelty to an animal, 86W. 140S., Bringhurst. A Guinea bird owned by Deborah Welch was mistreated. Liggett investigated.

April 5, 3:30 a.m. - Auto theft/receiving stolen auto parts, IPC parking lot. A vehicle owned by Maggie Wertz, Camden, was stolen and located a short distance from IPC. Liggett investigated.

April 6, 9:15 a.m. - Information report, 11741N. 950W., Monticello. Suspected trespass at the residence. Det. Steve Mullin investigated.

April 6, 8:53 p.m. - Driving while suspended/prior, 310 W. Main St., Delphi. Crodelia Davis, 43, Fort Wayne, was arrested. K-9 Deputy Mike Thomas investigated.

April 7, 9:46 p.m. - OWI/possession of a controlled substance, SR18 at 1150W. Courtney Hobbs, 34, Indianapolis, was arrested. Passenger James Harral Jr., 33, Lafayette, was arrested for public intoxication, false informing and disorderly conduct. Deputy Jay Schimmel investigated.

Property damage

April 3, 8:51 a.m. - 2868 N. Meridian Line Road. Lisa D. Howe, 31, Logansport, was cited with an infraction. Deputy John Chapman responded.

April 5, 8:05 a.m. - US421 at CR250S., Radnor. Carl E. Mays, 79, Delphi, and Jentry A. Younts, 31, Lebanon. A passenger in the Younts' vehicle, Lisa R. Younts, 31, Logansport, complained of pain. Chapman responded.

April 9, 10:51 a.m. - SR18 at US421. Donna L. Romein, 75, Delphi and Robert L. Yard, 77, Kokomo. Chapman responded.

Deer reports

April 9, 5:10 a.m. - Michigan St. near College St., Burlington. Larry M. Allee, 36, Kokomo. Liggett responded.

Flora Police

April 4, 8:03 p.m. - A burglary report was taken at 177 E. 100 N. Officer Josh Disinger investigated.

April 10, 3:30 p.m. - A crash involving three vehicles was reported at 705 E. Columbia St. A vehicle driven by Stephanie Strawcutter, 16, Cutler, was struck in the rear, by a vehicle driven by Frank Hemersbach, 17, Cutler. Hemersbach's vehicle was struck in the rear by a vehicle driven by Coleen Wanagits, 42, Flora. Officer Randy Larimore investigated. Deputy Steve Mullen assisted.

April 12, 2:10 a.m. - Following the report of a domestic disturbance, Robert J. Claxton, 40, and Tracey L. Claxton, 41, both of Bringhurst, were arrested for domestic battery. Sgt. James Bishop and Deputy Jay Schimmel investigated.
