Comet staff report

Three law enforcement agencies in Carroll County will be taking part in a rural demonstration project to increase seatbelt usage, particularly in pickup trucks.

The targeted enforcement will run from April 24 through May 8. Agencies participating are the Carroll County Sheriff's Department, and Delphi and Flora police departments.

Carroll County is one of 20 counties in Indiana selected for the targeted blitz. These counties were selected based on their high rates of unrestrained injuries over the past five years as well as being in the lower 50% of Indiana's population by county.
