A Neighborhood Watch meeting will be held at 7 p.m. April 16 in the Community Building at the park. All interested persons from Burlington and the surrounding areas are encouraged to attend.

Kiwanis Club will meet Saturday at 7:30 a.m. at the fire station for breakfast and meeting.

On Saturday 150 children turned out for the community Easter Egg Hunt held at the park. Every child received a candy bar and a silver dollar. There were several other prizes given away. The annual event is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club.

The Church of Christ will hold a Tiller/Stephenson wedding shower for at 2p.m. Sunday.

The United Methodist Church will have a silent auction during the chili cook off on Saturday with all proceeds going for their mission trip. Items to be auctioned off may be brought to the church before Saturday.

Faith Church of Christ will have an adult game night from 6:30-8 on Thursday. On Sunday there will be a Vacation Bible School planning meeting in the old kitchen at 8:30 a.m.

First Brethren Church will hold a community hymn sing on Sunday at 6 p.m.

Oakland Christian Church will have its Carroll County jail ministry on April 16 at 7 p.m. A quarterly business meeting will be held April 19 at 11:45 a.m. On April 21, the Ladies Bible Study will meet at 7 p.m.
