A NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH MEETING will be held at 7 p.m. April 16 in the Community Building at the park. All interested persons from Burlington and the surrounding areas are encouraged to attend.

Burlington Volunteer Fire Department will serve its annual PANCAKE & SAUSAGE BREAKFAST on Saturday at the fire station from 6 a.m. to 12 noon. Free will donations will be accepted.

JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP advisory board will meet at 7 p.m. tonight, April 8, at Hollow Acres Golf Course.

CARROLL COUNTY GARDEN CLUB will meet April 11 10 a.m. to 12 Noon at Eugene and Jackie Young's home at 3783 S. 5754 E, Bringhurst. Plans will be finalizaed for the 2009 Garden Fair set for April 25 in the Merchants Building at the Flora Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

CARROLL COUNTY REPUBLICAN WOMEN will meet on April 20 at Carroll Manor at 7 p.m. All Republican friends are welcome and may join the Republican Women's Club. Hostesses will be Neda Kay Duff, Hannah Germond, and Tammy Dyer.

Hickory Grove Church will host its ANNUAL EASTER PARTY on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the church, located at 9714 N. CR 700 W., about five miles south of Idaville. The party will include an egg hunt, snacks, games, a door prize, and goody bags to take home. This is a free event and the public is invited.

NICHES Land Trust will hold its annual meeting on April 22 (Earth Day) at the Wells Center, 638 North Street, Lafayette. The meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. with dessert and conversation. CARROLL COUNTY NURSES ASSOCIATION will meet April 13 at 7 p.m. at the Cutler Presbyterian Church. All county RNs, LPNs, and student nurses are welcome. For more information, call Stephanie Lambert at 574-967-4887.

PROJECT W.E.E.D. or "Wabash & Erie Earth Day" will be April 18 beginning at 9 a.m. at Canal Park, Delphi. Rain date will be April 25. All ages are invited, but children should work with parents or teachers. Volunteer "captains" will supervise specific jobs, and a work list will be available. Big jobs will be to extend the Monon High Bridge Trail and to begin development of the Interurban railbed trail in east Delphi. Work also will be done at other sites. Volunteers get a free lunch at noon at Canal Park. Check for last minute weather cancellation notice by calling the Canal Hotline, 765-564-6572.
