Flora First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) will host a free Easter dinner at 1 p.m. this Sunday. It is open to anyone in the community.

Church Outreach Chairperson Doug Winger said, "During this time of the year we wanted to share, through this dinner, the gifts of God that have been graciously given to us. The dinner is a gift to the entire community and for anyone who would like to celebrate Easter and our abundance of life with others."

Transitional Pastor Sam Davenport said the idea for the free dinner came out of a churchwide planning session on how the congregation could reach out to the community in 2009. The Outreach Team is in charge of the dinner.

First Christian Church is located on South Center Street, next to Mann Chevrolet in Flora.
