April 9th is the last day on which anyone can register and vote. Mr. Lane is urging the party workers, the different candidates and every one interested in this work to insist upon the people who are not yet registered to contact either their township assessor or the county clerk's office at once.

Owing to the fact that there is to be nine months of school this year it was deemed just to give the scholars a spring vacation and beginning with Thursday noon the "bunch" was turned loose to enjoy themselves. It is a very good thing as it will refresh the minds of all those who attend and make each one more able to attend to his work when the vacation period is over. Nine months with only a holiday vacation would seem like years to the four hundred scholars who are now trying to secure an education in our excellent schools.

The teachers will also take advantage of the "lay off" and are attending the joint session of the Northern Indiana Teachers Association at Indianapolis which will end today.
