Michael and Nadine Fetla of Chesterton announce the engagement of their daughter, Nicole Marie, to Nicholas Donovan Ayres. He is the son of Kirk and Chrystal Ayres of Bringhurst.

The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of Chesterton High School. She graduated in 2007 from St. Joseph College, where she majored in criminal justice and psychology. She is employed in accounting at US Steel in Gary.

Her fiancé is a 2004 graduate of Carroll High School. He will graduate in May from Purdue University with a degree in construction engineering management technology. He is employed at Envoy Inc., Indianapolis.

They are planning a June 27 wedding.
