April is National Poetry Month. Established in 1996 by the Academy of American Poets, National Poetry month brings together libraries, schools, booksellers and poets to celebrate poetry and its vital place in American culture.

Celebrate Poetry Month at the library by calling Dial-a- Story. During April, fourth graders from Carroll Elementary School will read poems written by James Whitcomb Riley on Dial-a-Story.

Currently playing is Dylan Spesard reciting, "An Idiot." On Friday, the story will change to "The Toy Penny Dog," performed by Amber Montgomery. Call Dial-a- Story anytime, day or night, 967-3814.

The next storytime theme is "Easter." It's time for little chicks, decorating eggs, and bunny rabbits! Hop in for some great tales! Storytime is Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m.
