Results given from Lafayette ISP saturation patrol

Indiana State Police at the Lafayette Post conducted a saturation patrol on March 27 throughout the district. The district includes the counties of Carroll, Clinton, Montgomery, Fountain, Warren, Benton, White and Tippecanoe. There were 28 troopers, detectives, and command personnel who participated in the patrol that went from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Saturday.

Results of the patrol are as follows:

• Traffic Arrests 88 • Warnings 158 • DUI arrests 8 • Other alcohol arrests 2 • Criminal arrests 26 • Drug related arrests 14

• Police services 9

• Truck arrests over 10,000 lbs. 3

• Speeding arrests 38

• Driving while suspended 2

• Felony arrests 16

"I am very pleased with the effort our troops put out tonight," said Lt. Jay Janke. "Getting drunk drivers off the road is one of our major concerns at this post. We want all to be able to travel the roads of Indiana and feel that the Indiana State Police and all law enforcement officers are working diligently to making it safe."
