NARCOTICS ANONYMOUS meets every Monday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Pittsburg Missionary Baptist Church. Directions, from Delphi going toward Pittsburg on 421: Go across Wabash bridge and take an immediate right on 900W. Go to the stop sign and turn left on 310N. Go up the hill to 910W. Church is on the right.
CARROLL SCHOOL COMMUNITY ROUNDTABLE will be April 6 at 7 p.m. in the high school media center. It is sponsored by Carroll Elementary PTO and Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School Family Resource Network. The superintendent, school administration, and school board members will lead a roundtable discussion. This is the community's chance to hear what is happening in the schools and to ask questions, voice concerns, and offer compliments.
CARROLL COUNTY'S THIRD ANNUAL APPRAISAL FAIR is coming Sunday, May 17, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the courthouse rotunda. This is a fundraiser for the Historical Society and Museum. Organizers are working hard behind the scenes at lining up an allstar appraiser panel. Their expertise will be in Indian artifacts, jewelry, crocks/pottery, coins, Coca Cola and other collectibles, quilts, primitives, glassware, and military memorabilia from the Civil War, World War I and World War II. Cost will be $5 per item, with a limit of two items per person.
SPRING BOOK SALE sponsored by the Friends of the Delphi Public Library will be April 3 from 3 to 6 p.m. for members and April 4 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the public in the Gerber room at the library. Membership brochures will be available at the door.
Volunteers are needed to assist Boy Scouts and the Odd Fellows with CEMETERY CLEAN-UP April 4 at the I.O.O.F. Odd Fellows cemeteries on Carrollton Rd. and at Pittsburg. All workers need to gather at the Carrollton Cemetery at 8:30 a.m. Bring shovels, rakes and wheelbarrows. Open pick-up trucks and trailers are needed. Winter decorations, torn and tattered flags and items not in line with head stones will be removed. In case of inclement weather, meet April 11. Contact Gordon Stevens at (765) 564-6536 to volunteer.
A TREE PLANTING AND CLEAN-UP DAY sponsored by Friends of the Carroll County Parks will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. at Deer Creek Park. Volunteers are needed. Contact Mary Ann Burton at (574) 686- 2958.
The AMERICAN RED CROSS BLOODMOBILE will be in Burlington on April 7 for a blood drive. The blood drive will be held at Burlington Community Park from 1 to 6:30 p.m. The Red Cross needs all who can to donate because the winter weather has created a severe shortage of all types of blood in their supply bank. The Fort Wayne office of the American Red Cross supplies blood to hospitals in northern Indiana and Ohio . Walk-ins are welcomed.
