Sheri Rohrer is pastor of Connections and Outreach at the Delphi United Methodist Church. Spring is right around the corner! We've waited for this for a long time. Each day is getting longer. The beautiful song of the birds is beginning to nudge us to meet the day. The tress will begin to bud, flowers will rise to greet us and the sun will welcome us with its warmth. Many of us have begun to open our windows to let the refreshing breeze of spring flow through our homes. The world wakes up again.

The introspection of Lent takes us into cold, dark regions of our souls. But the promise of Easter and the celebration of the risen Christ bring us new hope and once again give new life to our spirits. Just as creation comes back to life, so our souls are once again raised and renewed through the new life Christ offers us through His own resurrection. The breath of the Holy Spirit empowers us to come alive and share with the world the joy of a life with Christ. Christ has indeed given us new life and this is the truth we proclaim, Christ is risen!
