Turnpaugh brothers each take 3rd

Tanner and Zac Turnpaugh, members of the Carroll Wrestling Club, wrestled Saturday in the Spartan Freestyle Open held at North Newton.

Tanner Turnpaugh, who wrestles PeeWee 35, moved up to wrestle in the PeeWee 45 weight class. Zach wrestled in Schoolboy 120. Each boy had one win by points and two losses to finish in third place.

Carroll Wrestling Club will participate in the HYWAY Hoosier Youth Wrestling Association State Finals on Saturday.

Delphi M.S. swimmers win 3 of 4 meets

Delphi Community Middle School swim team defeated Clinton Central 126-59 and Lewis Cass 121-65. Last week the team fell to Pioneer 88-98, then beat Benton Central 131-55.

The team's records for the season are 5-3 as a coed team while the girls and boys teams are both 2-0. The B team is 2-0 as well.
